
Ikan Goreng with Sambal

Cooking Tools & Ingredients
- Mortar & Pestle
- Frying pan
- Fish fillet or whole fish
- Lemon and salt for seasoning the fish
- Oil for deep frying
- 5 pcs Red chilli - deseeded and chop to smaller size
- 1 tsp Shrimp paste
- 4 pc Garlic cloves
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 pc tomato
- Indonesian lime / Kalamansi / lemon
Recipe
- Marinate fish with lemon and salt for 15 mins
- Meanwhile, prepare your Sambal. Chargrill your shrimp paste to enhance the flavour
- Put salt, garlic shrimp paste and red chili, form into paste
- Add tomato and combine to make it lighter
- Squeeze some indonesian lime / kalamansi / lemon
- Mix throughly
- Preheat your oil
- Slowly slide your fish, cook until its golden brown ( vary depending on your fish. Approximately 7-12 mins)
- Enjoy your fish, with sambal!
- Ps its best accompanied with hot rice and some cold cut cucumbersb
