Steamed Egg Tofu & Braised Pork

Preparation & Cooking Time 15 minutes

Cooking Tools & Ingredients

  • 1 pack Silken tofu
  • 2 eggs
  • 250 ml water
  • 1/2 tsp mushroom powder
  • 200gr minced pork
  • 5 cloves Garlic
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 250 ml water for the sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch to make a slurry
  • 1 spring onion - chopped for garnish

Recipe 

  1. Beat the eggs, then add water to make it thinner. Add mushroom powder.
  2. Sieve the eggs mixture straight to the tofu.
  3. Put in steamer for 10 minutes.
  4. While waiting, start to make the braised pork.
  5. Sauté the garlic until fragrant and add minced pork.
  6. Add your seasoning.
  7. Add water, then let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  8. Add cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce.
  9. When the steamed egg and tofu is done, pour the sauce of braised pork on top of the tofu.
  10. Garnish with spring onion.
  11. Enjoy your tofu and braised pork!
